Lennon-McCartney or McLennon

The famous songwriting duo of John Lennon and Paul McCartney, half of The Beatles, two of the most famous musicians of our time... This shrine is dedicated to how they were probably in gay love with each other

Evidence

The Paris Trip:

Following The Beatles’ first few recordings in Hamburg, John received news that his parents, whom he was not close with and hadn’t spoken to in years, had died and left him an inheritance of about $100. He used this money to go to Paris, bringing Paul along with him. (Reminder, John had a GIRLFRIEND at this time) Both of them would continue to speak fondly of this trip in future interviews, well after The Beatles had broken up. Obviously, no one knows exactly what they got up to there, but Paul was kind enough to take some photos.

On Stage Bullshit:

“When we sang together, Paul and I would share the same microphone. I’d be close enough to kiss him […] So we’d be playing these concerts, in front of thousands of people, but the only thing I could see was Paul’s face. He was always there next to me – I could always feel his presence. It’s what I remember most about those concerts.” - John Lennon

Paul Missing John during Get Back "It makes it sound like we could be lovers"

Paul Being Very Normal After John's Death:

Q. If John Lennon could come back for a day, how would you spend it with him (Mark Wilson, Deeside, Flintshire) A. In bed. - Paul in an interview.

PAUL: Mm. It was, yeah. Um, in our songwriting, I had signs that the group was gonna break up, because… I mean, I think really what it was, really all that happened was that John fell in love. With Yoko. And so, with such a powerful alliance like that, it was difficult for him to still be seeing me. It was as if I was another girlfriend, almost. Our relationship was a strong relationship. And if he was to start a new relationship, he had to put this other one away. And I understood that. I mean, I couldn’t stand in the way of someone who’d fallen in love. You can’t say, “Who’s this?” You can’t really do that. If I was a girl, maybe I could go out and… But you know I mean in this case I just sort of said, right – I mean, I didn’t say anything, but I could see that was the way it was going to go, and that Yoko would be very sort of powerful for him. So um, we all had to get out the way. I don’t blame her. You know, you can’t blame her for being the object of his love. - Paul in another Interview.

SNOW: I remember when John Lennon returned his MBE to the Queen, one of the reasons he self-mockingly cited was that ‘Instant Karma’ was slipping down the charts… PAUL: Delicious boy, delicious broth of a boy. He was a lovely guy, you know. - Paul I don't even know what to call this.

"John's not gay because he would've flirted with me!"
